dean finally living his steamy romance novel dreams<3 though real life proves to be much clumsier and sillier. also i have to say, love a poetic sex scene. they're so underappreciated. and you wrote it very beautifully. and despite this being a reread for me i was still anxious as hell for them just being so exposed out in the stables. i couldn't remember for sure what happened this chapter so i kept thinking, what if someone shows up unannounced ?? where's jo at?
real life is so much less choreographed but all the better for it. it's funny with some of the metaphors here, they're based on like oceans and plate tectonics, which was what Dean was studying when he gets distracted by Banker horses. originally, that scene is at the beginning of the chapter containing this moment. breaking up the action day by day illuminates interesting things in the story, but it also is like "oh yeah there's a reason those things were in a chapter together"
ohh i love that. i totally forgot abt what they were studying the other day (got caught up in dean's horse facts and the sandwich silliness) but i love that it all connects (great writing, much kudos<3). dean's sexy metaphors aren't random! he's been studying these things and they're on his mind! so perfect and so dean. of course he would apply what he's recently learned to his life and experiences. it's the summer of learning new things and applying them to your life and experiences!
